DEATILES ABOUT SCHOOL

Orr's Hill Vivekananda College was established in 10 February 1978 with 150 pupils and four teachers in a thatched roof structure under the principal Mr.V.Thangavel. This school came into being because of Mr.K.Velupillai, a philanthropist form Trincomalee.

The Orr’s Hill Village Development Society was established by the people of Orr’s Hill. The first stage of work was construction of the school building called “Uvar Malai Tamil School” (Orr’s Hill Tamil School). The inauguration ceremony of this school was held on 10.02.1978.The school building ceremonially opened by HON.R.SAMPANTHAN M.P, Trincomalee.
